New Girl In Town
Part 3
Most students were muttering about how boring Mr.Dav's lesson was. It was only the first period of school and the first lesson was Mathematics. Half the class was asleep. The class consists of 4 by 4 tables in both columns and rows. Zahn, sitting at the far corner of the class, was staring outside the windows, oblivious to his surroundings. Aeonex, just a desk in front of Zahn, never even listened to Mr.Dav. Rinoa, whom he adored, was in the same class as him and sitting just two seats away from Zahn. Aeonex had been setting his eyes on one direction where Rinoa sat, since the first day of school. The seat between Zahn and Rinoa was always unoccupied.

The class was in the middle of a Maths quiz when Leah knocked the door."Sorry, I'm a new student. I got lost." From a sleepy atmosphere in the classroom, it changed into a good feeling, especially for the boys. Even Mr.Dav,aka the big pervert, was staring at her as though he saw a big hot mama. Zahn, on the other hand, was too busy with sketching his latest manga. He could not afford to lose his concentration on some new student. Aeonex was muttering to himself,"Wow! She can be my 2nd Rinoa". Leah could not find any empty seats left but the one next to Zahn.

"Oh hi Zahn! What a coincidence. We are in the same school and the same class", said Leah excitedly.
"What?Who?Oh you. Oh it must be fate then. Please do have a seat", replied Zahn. This time, he was more clear with words.
"Thank you so much. And what're you doing? Is that a manga? I love reading manga", told Leah. As she sat on her desk, she bent over to take a look at Zahn's table.
"Yeah! I've been sketching manga for almost two years now. They're like..umm..two..'beautiful mountains' shaking about", responded Zahn indirectly. Blood was dripping through his nose as Leah forgot to button her shirt.

"Riing!", was the sound of the bell. It was recess time. As it was Leah's first day in Kranji Sec, Zahn decided to show her around the school. Aeonex did not follow them as he was busy searching all the girls' toilet just to find Rinoa. A perverted monkey, he was. As Zahn was with Leah side by side, the other school girls became jealous. Leah never knew that he had recently won the 'most coolest student' award in the school. Even he didn't want to tell her about it as he wanted to keep his image attractive.

"Eek!", screamed Leah. Zahn and Leah were sitting on a straight bench when a cockroach crawled onto her skirt. That small matter caused her to sweep her skirt blindly and hugged Zahn accidentally. She was afraid of cockroached, especially the ones which can fly. Zahn could barely move due to the bear hug. Their lips almost touched each other's. "Umm..you can let go now. The cockroach's gone", whispered Zahn. Both of them had red face all over. The other students who witnessed it, cried. They just found out that Zahn just had a new girl.

"Alright, class. That's all for today", ordered the English teacher. The clock showed dismissal time. Aeonex was jumping about like a mad monkey. At last, he could be with Rinoa without interruption. "Hey, Zahn. You go on ahead without me. I need to be at the park for a while", said Aeonex. It was not the first time he made an excuse. Zahn had to walk home by himself again. A voice then appeared from nearby. "Hey, do you mind if I walk home with you?", asked Leah nicely. The soft tone melted his heart in an instant. He could not even say 'no'. They both went together, enlightening each other by making jokes. It really was Zahn's lucky day.
