New Girl In Town

Part 5

"Hurry up, dear. We're going to be late. I don't want your friends to think of me as someone bad, you know", complained Tiqi. Tiqi and Mal had just married three months ago. They were not yet ready to have a child and wanted to enjoy their youth lives to the fullest. Although both of them looked alike, Mal knew that she was the perfect one for him.

The newly-weds were going out with Mal's best friends on a perfect Saturday afternoon. Mal was still slacking around the house. Tiqi then decided to help him get dressed. It was unlike her to be so loving, leaving a kiss on his cheeks.

The night before, Ryuuziq had followed Zahn and Aeonex home after they all came to Mal's house. Zahn and Aeonex still had an empty room, so they wanted Ryuuziq to stay with them.

"Hey Ryuu, you always look so dashing everytime. This must be because of that cologne, Dragone, you wore on", teased Aeonex.

"Look who's talking. As far as I know, Aeonex, you put on cologne more than Ryuu does", chuckled Zahn. "This must be because of Rinoa. You're too obsessed with her".

"Alright, guys. Hurry up. We better be off now. We don't want to make the couple wait for us, do we?", reminded Ryuuziq.

After an hour of transport, the couple arrived at Bugis Village. At there, they met the others as well. It was Ryuuziq's idea to go shopping together. He must've missed all those fun days. However, it was a bit different. Since Ryuuziq had been becoming a lot popular lately, he wore a cap to prevent being identified by his fans. He had really calculated on what would happen on a public place.

The five young adults had stumbled upon many kinds of events. Ryuuziq was walking so fast, wearing his cap too low, that he was tripped by a rock two times. Aeonex kept oogling at pretty girls nearby, until at one part he was slapped by an old lady for accidentally touching her butt. Mal even forgot to wear his glasses and hugged a man beside him, thinking it was Tiqi. But Zahn was not affected by any bad luck, keeping his cool at all times. This attracted most of the girls there, especially the Japanese. Not only the girls were the attracted ones.

The group finally reached to a time when their stomaches were growling. Mal was the first one to suggest,"Hey guys, let's find something to eat". The rest of them agreed as well.

"How about the Banquet foodcourt? There're lots of varieties of food", added Tiqi.

After hearing from Tiqi, Ryuuziq and Aeonex were drooling all over the floor. They always do that when it comes to food, Zahn thought.

At the Banquet, they managed to find a table which fitted enough number of people. Ryuuziq and Aeonex went ahead to buy some food. The couple also made a move as well, leaving Zahn alone. Fortunately for him, someone called his name while he was at the table.

"Hi Zahn! I didn't expect to be seeing you here", startled Leah.

Zahn turned his head and saw Leah in a sexy outfit. And again, blood was dripping from his nose as she was wearing blue hot pants, exposing her thighs.

"Oh he..hey", responded Zahn with a surprisingly look. "Wow, w..we really cl..clashed into each other for qu..quite a few times already. Wh..what are yo..you here for?"

"I'm shopping, of course. I'm with Rinoa but she's gone to the ladies' ".

"Oh I see."

"Well, I have to go now. Sorry I can't be with you for long. Take care, then".

"Goodbye", was Zahn's last reply.

The rest were back from different stalls. Zahn then quickly bought an orange juice drink. He was not so hungry, though. Ryuuziq and Aeonex were munching their food away. They always competed in eating since young. Mal was feeling like he was the luckiest person as he got his wife to feed for him.

The group had enjoyed each other's company, as well as the long trip. But in the end, they had to go home on separate ways. It was a memory not to be forgotten.

New Girl In Town

Part 4

The night wind whistled the memories of that first sight. Zahn was staring upon the blinking stars, thinking about Leah. How wonderful life could be in her presence. He was about to close his eyes and kiss the pillow when the phone rang.

-

Aeonex picked up the mini-sized telephone in the living room. "Hello, Aeonex speaking?..Oh hey Mal! It's been a while since you last contacted me. There must be something big for you to call me at this late hour, right?...Oh I see...Alright, Zahn and I will be there right away!"

-

Zahn wondered,"Who was it? What did he want?"

"You better get changed now. We're paying a visit to Mal's house. Ryuuziq's came back!", replied Aeonex enthusiastically.

After hearing the news, both of them dressed up in a flash and went to Mal's house. It was not that far, though. The bangalow was located two miles away. They never expected Ryuuziq's early homecoming from overseas. Just by hearing that name again, Zahn reminisced the past when Ryuuziq was always there for him. Everytime he needed help, Ryuuziq was the first one to respond. He was also the one who made the Foursome Four popular. It was because of him that the group disbanded. He chose to further his singing career as a soloist. Back then, Zahn also remembered he was the original pervert while Aeonex took all the fame.

"Are you sure this is the right address?", asked Aeonex, scratching his head.

"I'm sure of it. My memory ram is much more wider compared to yours", teased Zahn.

Both of them had arrived at the entrance of the Bangalow. Mal came out of the house with a big smile on his face. He welcomed them with a big hug too. "Come in! Ryuuziq's been expecting you two".

Ryuuziq was already in the living room, together with Mal's wife, Tiqi, in one room. He had changed a lot since he went for tours around the world. "Wow,Ryuu! Now you're a Pop Star. And you do miss us still. I love the part when you sang with Gackt last month", exclaimed Aeonex. But Zahn knew that one thing about him was still present. The childish behaviour in him was always there. He also felt as though the band was reunited once again.

Part 3

Most students were muttering about how boring Mr.Dav's lesson was. It was only the first period of school and the first lesson was Mathematics. Half the class was asleep. The class consists of 4 by 4 tables in both columns and rows. Zahn, sitting at the far corner of the class, was staring outside the windows, oblivious to his surroundings. Aeonex, just a desk in front of Zahn, never even listened to Mr.Dav. Rinoa, whom he adored, was in the same class as him and sitting just two seats away from Zahn. Aeonex had been setting his eyes on one direction where Rinoa sat, since the first day of school. The seat between Zahn and Rinoa was always unoccupied.

The class was in the middle of a Maths quiz when Leah knocked the door."Sorry, I'm a new student. I got lost." From a sleepy atmosphere in the classroom, it changed into a good feeling, especially for the boys. Even Mr.Dav,aka the big pervert, was staring at her as though he saw a big hot mama. Zahn, on the other hand, was too busy with sketching his latest manga. He could not afford to lose his concentration on some new student. Aeonex was muttering to himself,"Wow! She can be my 2nd Rinoa". Leah could not find any empty seats left but the one next to Zahn.

"Oh hi Zahn! What a coincidence. We are in the same school and the same class", said Leah excitedly.

"What?Who?Oh you. Oh it must be fate then. Please do have a seat", replied Zahn. This time, he was more clear with words.

"Thank you so much. And what're you doing? Is that a manga? I love reading manga", told Leah. As she sat on her desk, she bent over to take a look at Zahn's table.

"Yeah! I've been sketching manga for almost two years now. They're like..umm..two..'beautiful mountains' shaking about", responded Zahn indirectly. Blood was dripping through his nose as Leah forgot to button her shirt.

"Riing!", was the sound of the bell. It was recess time. As it was Leah's first day in Kranji Sec, Zahn decided to show her around the school. Aeonex did not follow them as he was busy searching all the girls' toilet just to find Rinoa. A perverted monkey, he was. As Zahn was with Leah side by side, the other school girls became jealous. Leah never knew that he had recently won the 'most coolest student' award in the school. Even he didn't want to tell her about it as he wanted to keep his image attractive.

"Eek!", screamed Leah. Zahn and Leah were sitting on a straight bench when a cockroach crawled onto her skirt. That small matter caused her to sweep her skirt blindly and hugged Zahn accidentally. She was afraid of cockroached, especially the ones which can fly. Zahn could barely move due to the bear hug. Their lips almost touched each other's. "Umm..you can let go now. The cockroach's gone", whispered Zahn. Both of them had red face all over. The other students who witnessed it, cried. They just found out that Zahn just had a new girl.

"Alright, class. That's all for today", ordered the English teacher. The clock showed dismissal time. Aeonex was jumping about like a mad monkey. At last, he could be with Rinoa without interruption. "Hey, Zahn. You go on ahead without me. I need to be at the park for a while", said Aeonex. It was not the first time he made an excuse. Zahn had to walk home by himself again. A voice then appeared from nearby. "Hey, do you mind if I walk home with you?", asked Leah nicely. The soft tone melted his heart in an instant. He could not even say 'no'. They both went together, enlightening each other by making jokes. It really was Zahn's lucky day.

New Girl In Town

Part 2

"Fight!"ordered the referee. It was the finals for the Ninja Tournament. Zahn got carried away by the semi-final's easy victory. This caused him to lose his cool and went berserk. Unlike any other opponent, this one wore a mask to cover the face identity. The loosened white attire could not tell that it was either male of female. The moment Zahn charged upfront, he/she countered the attack with a back slide. Zahn fell on his buttocks, causing him to fight more recklessly. He stood up quickly and did a 'handspring of death'. It was his trump card. However, the opponent was smart enough and avoided the attack. This led to Zahn's loss as he could not stop himself from crashing into a tree.

The crowd cheered for the opponent as he/she had won the title as the new Ninja Tournament champion. "Who are you?", wondered Zahn. The opponent turned to Zahn from watching the humongous crowd, raising the hand to the mask. As soon as the mask was opened, Zahn realized it was a female ninja with long hair swaying around her shoulders. She looked familiar like the neighbour he helped. But when he tried to look at the face, he suddenly regained consciousness.
-
"Riiing!"sounded the alarm clock. The time was 7 am. The sun was shining brighter every minute. Zahn had to wake up by force as he had school to attend to. He didn't remember what happened the night before. The 17-year-old teen was already at his final year of school. The graduating exam was also around the corner. His studies were improving bit by bit due to his constant revision.

"Why do I have to do all of the chores in the house? Where is he when I needed him? He must be having a lot of fun out there with Rinoa", muttered Zahn. Zahn only lived by himself together with his pet cat, Fifi. Fifi was always a 'handful' one to him as it lazed around and scratched his homeworks. His friend, Aeonex, living together with him, had been going on dates so oftenly. It was rare to see him staying at home for even one day.

Zahn was already dressed up in his school uniform. He was having the usual breakfast which he consumed everyday. A cup of Milo with 2 Danone biscuits. Suddenly, the door bell rang. Because of that, Zahn almost choked himself up with the biscuits. He wiped his dirty mouth with a towel and rushed towards the door. It was the girl whom he helped last night, or maybe not. His memories at that moment were a bit haywire,though.

"Hi! I'm your new next-door neighbour, Leah", introduced Leah exuberantly, with a soft handshake.
"H..Hi! Ni..nice to meet you. I..I'm Zahn. Have we met?", stuttered Zahn, resisting to let go of the handshake.
"You helped me in the rain last night, don't you remember? I wanted to thank you so much. And I also brought some food along for breakfast? Can I join you for breakfast?", asked Leah.

Zahn became speechless for a while. He had never seen a girl like Leah before. He let her came into the apartment. He stared at nothing but her brown, sparkling eyes. Her skin was smooth and attractive. Her hair was swaying around her shoulders due to the wind. Zahn could feel the smoothness of her dark brownish hair. She must've been using that latest shampoo, ASIENCE. She walked towards the eating table in the kitchen with such elegance and beauty. Both of them were also equally tall.
-
Leah's heart was pounding so fast as she had never had any help from anyone before, even in the smallest matter. Zahn offered her a seat and pushed her chair forwards as she sat on it. Leah started to develop feelings for him. As they had their breakfast, Leah wanted to know more about Zahn, and so did the opposite. They both had their time with laughters.

Zahn felt more relieved to be at home. He had found something much more worthy than himself. Since his group, Foursome Four, had disbanded, everyone went on separate ways. His friend, Mal, had recently been happily married. The bass guitarist, Ryuuziq, had gone overseas to spread his fame as a soloist. The vocalist, Aeonex, was always in the public, and harangued the crowd,"Who will be my Rinoa? Sign up for my audition now!" Things had changed so much since the group splitted up. Zahn was quite sad, but quite happy too.
